Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of the interaction between text types, specifically to the phenomena of intertextuality and hybrid text types. Certain texts cannot be examined as isolated objects but their interaction must be taken into account during the research. These phenomena are one of the leading trends in modern text linguistics and require further fundamental study since scientists have not yet reached a consensus on these issues. Fundamental studies of intertextuality are an essential condition for studying the correlation between a particular text and a certain text type, as well as with other specific texts that have the same typological affiliation. The study of hybridity makes it possible to trace the relationship between the communicative purpose of the text and the possible form of performing this function, namely, to investigate the phenomenon of

violation of the canon for the expression of communicative intention. The authors of the article have analyzed plenty of current standpoints on the intertextuality and hybrid texts. The studies of the French scientist G. Genette, who points up five types of intertextual relations, were considered the most fundamental, as well as the views of the German researcher M. Pfister, who created a classification of the intensity of the intertextual references. In regards to the analysis of hybrid texts, the viewpoint of the German linguist U. Fix was considered the most structured and appropriate. According to U. Fix, there are such phenomena as the montage (Textmustermontage), mixing (Textmustermischung) and breaking (Textmusterbruch) of the text type. The conclusions drawn can form the basis for further study of the phenomenon of intertextuality as the relationship of specific texts to their text-forming models and the phenomenon of hybrid text types.
